About the Kaua`i Music Festival (KMF)
_The KMF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2002.
Our Mission is to promote, sustain, and develop education in the musical arts across all genres including traditional & contemporary Hawaiian music.
This is accomplished through a series of educational, networking, and showcase events held throughout the year, culminating in the signature 4-day KMF Songwriter Conference held annually in July on the "Garden Island" of Kaua'i.
In addition to the annual Songwriter Conference, the KMF organizes and hosts other educational, networking, and showcase events throughout the year. These include:

- KMF Songwriter Search - annual songwriting contest with the winner getting free attendance to the annual KMF Songwriter Conference
- KMF Songwriter Showcases - to showcase the talents of upcoming new singer/songwriters at various venues around the country
- KMF / Nashville Songwriters Reunion - a showcase & networking event hosted in Nashville for former KMF attendees & staff members
Other events currently under consideration are the KMF downunder and the KMF / LA Connection - "mini events" to be held annually in Australia and Los Angeles.
