_Notes:
(1) Songwriting Workshops Attendees meet in small workgroups with the songwriting staff to discuss the craft of songwriting, get feedback on their songs, and collaborate on new songs. (2) Free Writing Time Attendees use this time to revise existing songs or write new songs based on what was learned in the Songwriting Workshops. Many attendees also use this time to collaborate with other attendees on new or existing songs. (3) One-on-One Consultations Attendees meet on a sign-up basis face-to-face in 15 minute sessions with our Producers, A&R Executives, and other Music Industry Executives for personalized career advice and feedback on their songs. (4) Informational Workshops A number of workshops will be offered to cover a variety of topics such as melody writing, lyric writing, slack key guitar instruction, recording basics, live performance do’s & don’ts, and others. (5) Demo Derby Attendees are invited to submit a CD into a collection box throughout this session. CD's are drawn and played randomly for a panel of our visiting professional staff who then give comments & feedback. Depending upon number of CD's submitted, there is no guarranty that everyone's CD will be picked and heard. |
